Dr. Heather Wingert
Registered Psychologist

Dr. Heather Wingert is registered with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia and a member of the Canadian Psychological Association. After raising her family, Dr. Wingert obtained an MA (Education) from UBC in the Measurement, Evaluation and Research Methods program and a PhD in Psychology (Developmental) from SFU. She has taught at both UBC and SFU as a sessional instructor. Prior to joining Fraser Developmental Clinic, Dr. Wingert worked for a number of years at Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children on various multidisciplinary teams. Her primary roles were with the Autism Team, which later became the Provincial Autism Resource Centre and with the Preschool Team, which later became part of the Complex Developmental and Behavioural Conditions program. Dr. Wingert has a particular interest in the developmental trajectories of preschool children and has contributed to several published articles, including research on screening tools for young children with autism.
